Aluminium the material of choice for modern apartment block
A new development in Truro has been fitted with Guttercrest’s aluminium guttering, hoppers and downpipe to create a modern and luxurious look.
The Hideaway is a development of 14 new apartments close to the city centre, with an exterior that includes a mix of materials including timber, stone and aluminium that work together harmoniously to create a contemporary building.
Over 168 metres of Guttercrest’s Square Downpipe in 100mm size has been used alongside 30 Rectangular Rainwater Hoppers and Box Guttering. The aluminium rainwater products are all finished in the RAL7039 matt (quartz grey) with a polyester powder coating.
As well as being a strong, lightweight and durable material, aluminium is also the eco-friendly choice when it comes to building materials. The most abundant metal in nature, it is also 100% recyclable at the end of its long life. Guttercrest’s rainwater products are expected to last in excess of 60 years.
All of Guttercrest’s aluminium building products are manufactured in their 65,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Shropshire. Over 90% of the aluminium used in the manufacturing process is from recycled sources.
