Moulded ogee gutters for period cottage
The owners of this beautiful detached cottage have recently replaced their gutters and downpipes with Guttercrest’s aluminium products.
To create a look that ties in with the home’s period style, the homeowners chose moulded ogee gutters, rectangular hoppers and traditional round downpipes, all finished in Jet Black to complement the red brickwork.
Aluminium is a great choice for traditional properties because our products can be manufactured to replicate the look of cast iron.
The design of our aluminium moulded ogee gutters, also known as No. 46 or Type 46, is inspired by 19th century cast iron gutters.
The end result was so impressive that they also decided to replace the existing guttering on the conservatory to match the rest of the house.
Aluminium is a great choice for traditional properties because products can be manufactured to replicate the look of cast iron, yet they are lighter in weight, lower maintenance and corrosion resistant.
Our moulded ogee aluminium gutters have integral welded spigots / butt straps and are double spigotted, meaning fewer joints and less waste, resulting in faster and easier installations.
Also, more than 90% of the aluminium we use is recycled, making it the sustainable choice for eco-conscious customers.
All products are manufactured at Guttercrest’s Shropshire headquarters, which has 300,000 sq ft of space dedicated to creating high-quality aluminium products for the construction industry.
